LAST CALL 30 MICS 30 NIGHTS Tour NYC

This April, in an effort to drive recognition of Alcohol Awareness Month, Hip Hop artist, activist, and entrepreneur Timmy Grins will be embarking on a 30 stop tour of the greater New York City area. He is scheduled to rock 30 Mics in 30 Nights performing live his eloquent, throat-cutting, public service masterpiece “LAST CALL”.

Grins, an admitted alcoholic and several time loser to DWI, has used “LAST CALL” in various mediums to bring light to the darkness and dangers of drinking and driving, underage drinking, and alcoholism. Most prominently, the piece was released as a film shot and directed by Fabio Lomelino. Fabio’s eerily magnetizing lens and scalpel work coupled with Timmy’s portrayal, conjured from emotions of his own experiences, drive a message that is left “etched in every bone in your skeleton”.

In addition to the film, Timmy has made habit to speak at high schools, colleges, associations, and other partiers of interest about his own experiences in recovery. Further, he has partnered with the Maryland State Transit Authority and Maryland Institute of Art on an ad campaign. His work with “LAST CALL” was in part reason he was invited to the audience of the Oprah Winfrey Show as a “hero” and bestowed a tremendous basket of gifts as part of a “Favorite Things” episode.

The mission statement of “LAST CALL” is simple: to help those that are ready to be helped and to encourage those that are not, to reconsider their options.
