The importance of an operating agreement
I am currently in a business relationship that is at minimum changing dramatically. We don’t have an operating agreement or a document that spells out clearly how we are to handle matters such as buyouts, expenditures, growth, dividends, or just about anything that transpires within the company. Much has been done on confidence, trust, and handshakes. Unfortunately, those last only as long as things are going well and everyone’s pockets are being taken care. So, in hindsight this would have been quite easy for us and much less strenuous if we had taken the time to put all our thoughts on paper ahead of time. Nonetheless, live and learn. So…don’t do as I do…or better yet do as I will do forever from here on out… quick vid on operating agreements
