This Wednesday night, March 31 at the Newton movie theater located at 234 Spring Street, Newton, NJ, in association with the Center for Prevention and Counseling will be guiding an MTV styled Town Hall discussion on the subject of the dangers of underage drinking. The night will feature: words of experience, interactive discussion, DJs, MCs, a music video premiere, and progress.

It is an open invite to the entire community to come and voice their opinion about the problems, the trends, and most importantly the solutions. This is a critical time of year and many are going to be making their first decisions about drinking, it is imperative to exchange the wisdom many of us have gained. Further, it is the voice of those that are faced with the decision that needs to be heard.

In addition we will be world premiering the video for “LAST CALL” written and delivered by Timmy Grins, produced and directed by Fabio Lomelino.

This is a very important night. Please mark your calendars and be in attendance.

On May 1st 2010 the Mini Golf Association (MGA) kicks off tournament play with the TREE CITY OPEN a fundraiser for the Center for Prevention and Counseling. This will be an event not to miss. There will be an art installation featuring 20 artists from around Sussex County recreating their works live during tournament play. In addition as many as 10 different bands from the county will be flexing their musical skills for your entertainment. Oh and there will be a MINI GOLF TOURNAMENT and winners will be selected from 4 different divisions!!

Tree City Mini Golf is 3 ponds step laddered into the side of the mountains, complete with crashing waterfalls, and big sweeping views of the valley. This is listed as one of the most challenging mini golf courses in the United States, perhaps on the Planet Earth. In fact there are two holes that NO ONE got a hole in one on all season last season.

The Center for Prevention and Counseling is a non-profit agency based in Newton, NJ that has been providing services and outreach since 1973.

Step up your short game, round up a foursome, eightsome, twelvesome, or just come and get some for a great cause. Tree City Mini Golf will be donating 50% of all player proceeds to the Center the day of the event.
